Yuzhang Li

Yuzhang won Second prize in the Yamaha Piano Scholarship Competition, and successfully held a concert in which she performed a set of Rachmaninoff’s Études-Tableaux.

Yuzhang Li was born in 1999, and is student from the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing where she has been a student of Professor Danwen Wei since 2017. Before she attended the Conservatory, Li studyed at the Xinghai Conservatory Affiliated Middle School, studying with Professor Xian Jinsong. 

In 2014, she won Second prize in the Yamaha Piano Scholarship Competition, and successfully held a concert in which she performed a set of Rachmaninoff’s Études-Tableaux. She also received Second prize in the Pearlriver Kayserburg Piano Concerto Competition and the Sixth prize at the Shenzhen Piano Open Competition in 2015. Subsequently, she received on the First prize at the Seiler Cup Piano Competition and was invited to perform with other winners in South Korea. In the same year, she won the Special Performance award in the Wiesbaden International Piano Competition, and Second Prize in the “Grotrain” International Piano Competition, and was invited to participate in the Harz Classix Music Festival in Germany. 

During her study period in the Central Conservatory of Music, Yuzhang won Third prizes in the Huanglong Piano Competition in 2018 and the 3rd Chengdu Golden Hibiscus music competition and the Second prize at the Steinway Piano Competition. She was also awarded the National Scholarship due to her hard work in both piano playing and academic study.
