Count Me In – Project for Key Stage 2 Children (ages 7-11)

Since Ancient Greece, music and maths have been inseparable. Count Me In, performed by international superstar pianist Alexandra Dariescu and London Symphony Orchestra conductor and presenter Timothy Redmond, explores that irresistible combination of notes and numbers. Tim tries to persuade Alex to play Grieg’s Piano Concerto, with the children singing songs based on the Grieg’s themes to help him out. Count Me In also features music by Clara Schumann, Hector Villa-Lobos and Florence Price to create a fun inspiring and interactive show specially written for children in KS2.

Feedback from children:

“The piano makes me feel focused, like nothing else is happening when I’m
listening.”

“My family love Chopin and Lady Gaga!”
Feedback from teachers:

“What a wonderful, wonderful opportunity for our children to see such
talent”

“The music was sublime – personally I felt really privileged to have
attended.”

Future Plans

Sharing Count Me In across the world! We are working with global partners including the Lang Lang Foundation to take a film of this wonderful show with children and teachers all over the world in the 2024 – 2025 Season.
