Gabriel Yeo, born in 1998 in Münster, Germany, embarked on his musical journey at the age of three, under the guidance of Annette Strootmann. Later, he studied with Prof. KarlHeinz Kämmerling at the Hanover University of Music, Drama, and Media until Kämmerling’s passing in 2012. Yeo continued his studies with esteemed mentors like Vassilia Efstathiadou, Prof. Matti Raekallio, and Prof. Jan Jiracek von Arnim in Hanover and Vienna from 2012 to 2016. Currently, under the tutelage of Prof. Bernd Goetzke in Hanover, he also hones his chamber music skills with Prof. Boris Kusnezow and Prof. Jacques Ammon in Leipzig.

Yeo’s talent has earned him numerous accolades, including the GWK Music Prize and the first prize at the International Grotrian Piano Competition. He has triumphed in international competitions such as the Concours International André Dumortier and the International Theodor Leschetizky Competition. His performances have graced esteemed venues like the Konzerthaus Berlin, Essen Philharmonic Hall, and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Yeo has collaborated with renowned orchestras like Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the Philharmonie de Chambre Francaise. He continues to enrich his musical journey through collaborations and mentorships with luminaries such as Dmitri Alexeev and Alfred Brendel, solidifying his status as a rising star in the classical music scene.
