Jaeden Izik-Dzurko: From Leeds Triumph to Global Acclaim—and a New Album

Leeds International Piano Competition Gold Medallist 2024 Jaeden Izik‑Dzurko continues to make remarkable strides. His latest release on Steinway & Sons—a program of Beethoven, Schumann, and Medtner recorded in May 2023—has been met with glowing critical praise. Reviewers laud him as “a cultivated pianist, musicality with muscle artfully balanced,” noting that “his fingerwork [is] elegant, his tone unforced… he leaves the trappings of showmanship to others.” Highlights include a “knife‑edge way with dotted long‑short patterns” in Schumann and “a banquet of touch and imagination” in Medtner’s Sonata romantica.

Further cementing his rising stature, Bachtrack has named him one of their “Rising Stars to Watch in 2025–26”

Jaeden’s 2025/26 season includes debut recitals at prestigious venues worldwide—Wigmore Hall in London, Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, and Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie—alongside concerto appearances with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, and returns to ensembles such as the Edmonton Symphony and National Arts Centre Orchestra.

We are exceptionally proud of Jaeden’s artistry and global ascendancy. His upcoming return to Leeds for a recital in our International Concert Series will be a highlight of next season—we cannot wait to welcome him back.
