Count Me In! is an imaginative programme for Key Stage 2 pupils (ages 7–11) that brings music and maths vividly to life. Created by presenter and composer Tim Redmond for the Leeds International Piano Competition, the project features star pianist Alexandra Dariescu, with the Grieg Piano Concerto at its heart.
Blending joyful participation with world-class performance, the show combines sing-along moments, spectacular piano music, and engaging explorations of the connections between music and mathematics — all designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire young learners.

A Revolutionary Online Learning Experience
Count Me In! is also available as a flexible six-week online programme, giving schools everything they need to explore music and maths at their own pace. Designed as a ready-to-use curriculum tool, this version supports teachers with clear guidance and inspiring resources, making it easy to bring high-quality music learning into the classroom.
The course includes a self-paced teacher training session to build confidence in delivering music within the national curriculum, alongside a six-week digital classroom programme packed with engaging activities. Through singing, listening and interactive games, pupils explore the fascinating connections between music and maths in ways that are creative, accessible and fun.
Schools also receive access to a high-quality film of the live Count Me In! show, recorded at Leeds’ Carriageworks Theatre, featuring pianist Alexandra Dariescu and presenter Tim Redmond, bringing the excitement of a world-class performance directly into the classroom.
