🎹 Join the Team

The Leeds International Piano Competition is entering an exciting new phase as we build towards the 2027 Competition and Festival.

Rooted in Leeds and recognised across the world, The Leeds is more than a top-tier international piano competition. We champion exceptional young artists at pivotal moments in their careers, bring world-class music into concert halls and communities, and believe deeply in excellence, fairness and artist care.

As we look ahead to 2027, we are expanding our team with two key appointments:

  • Marketing Manager (Full-time, permanent)
  • Artistic Administrator (Full-time, cycle-based contract)

Both roles offer the opportunity to work at the intersection of international artistry and local cultural impact — in a small, focused, values-driven team.

Artistic Administrator

Salary: Â£26,000–£28,000

Full-time | Cycle-based contract | Leeds-based (hybrid)

Start: April/May 2026

This is a rare opportunity for a musically informed arts professional to move inside the top tier of the classical music profession.

The Artistic Administrator works at the heart of our international network — supporting exceptional pianists, liaising with a distinguished international jury, coordinating artistic schedules and ensuring that the Competition and Festival are delivered with clarity, warmth and precision.

You will work closely with artists at pivotal moments in their careers, managing everything from repertoire information and rehearsal schedules to jury materials and artistic systems. The role demands musical understanding, organisational intelligence and emotional awareness in equal measure.

We are looking for someone early in their career who combines strong knowledge of classical piano repertoire with exceptional administrative discipline and judgement.

Application deadline: 5pm, Friday 13 March 2026

Marketing Manager

Salary: Â£30,000–£35,000

Full-time | Permanent | Leeds-based (hybrid)

Start: May/June 2026

The Marketing Manager sits at the centre of our public-facing work.

Working closely with the Head of Audiences, this role leads the day-to-day delivery of marketing, communications and audience engagement activity across the Competition and associated programmes.

From campaign coordination and ticketing to social media management, content creation and reporting, the Marketing Manager ensures our voice is clear, consistent and compelling — locally, nationally and internationally.

This is a hands-on role for a highly organised and proactive marketing professional who thrives on managing multiple projects, working creatively with content, and engaging audiences across digital and live platforms.

Application deadline: 5pm, Friday 20 March 2026
