Millennium Square in Leeds will host free live screenings of this year’s competition sessions, including a “bring a picnic” event for the Friday 14th final.
The Big Screen in Millennium Square is showing every session from Friday 7th to Friday 14th, culminating in a live broadcast of the Friday final from Leeds Town Hall, when visitors can watch three of the final five competitors as they each perform a full concerto with the Hallé Orchestra.
Whether people stumble across the screenings on the way home from work, or come with family and friends on the 14th, it is a great way to connect with the competition and perhaps experience classic piano for the first time.
The live screenings are made possible by our partnership with medici.tv, who are streaming every session on online, to watch live or on catch up. Leeds City Council and Leeds Beckett University are generously supporting the event, providing access to Millennium Square and the Big Screen.
