Skylar’s Missing Note
Skylar’s Missing Note is a magical performance created in collaboration with Manic Chord Theatre, telling the story of a girl’s adventure to find her beloved piano’s missing note. This performance has been specially designed for Key Stage 1 (5 – 7 year olds), and blends immersive storytelling with live piano performance to introduce pupils to the piano in a fun and engaging way. The project aims to fuel students’ imagination and curiosity and is underpinned with a set of curriculum resources devised with music education experts and teachers.
Skylar’s Missing Note includes a 45-minute performance followed by an interactive workshop with smaller groups of pupils. These workshops cover elements of the KS1 music curriculum, including dynamics, tempo, pitch & rhythm, as Mr. Pigeon takes us on his journey exploring all the sights and sounds of the city.

The production has been delivered in over 45 schools across West Yorkshire including Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees.
