PRIZES & AWARDS

Alumni of The Leeds

13.1. The presence of the Semi-Finalists and Laureates at the Finals Award Ceremony is mandatory when prizes and awards will be shared out.

 

13.2. All Finalists receive the title of ‘Laureate of the Leeds International Piano Competition 20th Edition 2021,’ and will receive a certificate signed by the Chair and members of the Jury.

 

13.3. Taxes will be deducted from prizes according to the UK Tax laws in effect at the time of payment.

 

13.4. There are nine prizes in addition to worldwide management with Askonas Holt Artists Management and a debut recording with Warner Classics:

+ Concerto engagement with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrew Manze on Thursday 23 & Friday 24 September 2021

+ International concerts as part of the Steinway Prize Winner Concerts Network

+ Wigmore Hall début

+ Recital at London’s Southbank Centre

+ Leeds International Piano Series recital

+ One-to-one consultation with Director of Concert and Artists Services, Steinway & Sons, London

+ Mentoring by member(s) of the Jury and The Leeds team

+ Coaching in PR, Media & Social Media relations by Premier Media

 

SECOND PRIZE & THE MARION THORPE SILVER MEDAL

£15,000

+ Solo recital at the Music Room, Liverpool Philharmonic, 21.9.21

+ Wigmore Hall début

+ Leeds International Piano Series recital

+ One-to-one consultation with Director of Concert and Artists Services, Steinway & Sons, London

+ Mentoring by member(s) of the Jury and The Leeds team

 

THIRD PRIZE & THE ROSYLN LYONS BRONZE MEDAL

£10,000

+ Solo recital at the Music Room, Liverpool Philharmonic, 22.9.21

+ Leeds International Piano Series recital

WARNER CLASSICS

+ Warner Classics release of a recording of the Finals performance and other selected repertoire (Warner Classics to select their preferred choice of artist from the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prize-winners)

+ Artist representation by Askonas Holt (Askonas Holt to select their preferred choice of artist from the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prize-winners)
