Welcome to the Count Me In classroom resources – songs to sing, music to listen to and games to play!

Count Me In is a fun, engaging, interactive music and maths show specially written for children aged 7 – 11. We have created a 6 week Scheme of Work, divided into Learn, Sing, Play and Listen activities for you to use in class before the children watch the show. Your class will get so much more out of seeing Count Me In if they know the songs – so they can sing along at the top of their voices with Tim, Alex and the audience in Leeds – and if they have explored some of the many connections between music and maths by playing the musical maths games in class.

Nobody knows your class better than you do and we hope you will feel free to use these resources in whatever ways suit you best. You might like to play the Performance Tracks in class, so the children can absorb them while they are reading, drawing or working independently. Once the children have learnt the Magic Pencil game, some of them might like to take your place and lead it in class!

Listening to music is a mindful activity which can support health and well-being throughout our lives – inspiring curiosity, bringing moments of joy, excitement, calm and creating space for us to think and reflect. We have included some fantastic performances of wonderful music played by internationally-renowned musicians in these resources, and included some activities to help the children you teach become more active listeners.

We are delighted to Count You In – and we hope you all enjoy the show!
